Michelle Y. Gilder founded Gilder Group International and with her passion for people and learning, has empowered individuals to grow to the greatness that allows them to transform themselves and their organizations, for nearly 30 years. As an International Learning Facilitator, Human Performance Coach and OD Practitioner, Michelle continues to leverage organization development (OD) systems improvements and institute organizational changes in workplaces from sheep farms, government agencies to the Fortune 500, domestic and international.
Michelle’s journey to the field of OD has been an evolutionary one. Soon after starting her company, Image Engineers (now Gilder Group International), she was invited to work as a contract trainer with adult learning industry leaders, Fred Pryor Seminars and Ziglar, Inc., for 5+ years. While working with thousands of people in hundreds of companies, Michelle learned many valuable lessons. Her biggest eye-opener or “light-bulb moment” came when she began to understand that training was not always the answer to many of the issues confronting her clients.
With this revelation, Michelle joined her co-partner and coach in the research, development, and facilitation of Performance Improvement Systems, in partnership with public and private organizations. This led to recognizing the variety of systems within all organizations and their need for continuous improvement or organization development (OD). Now, when a client requests “training” she is able to collaborate with a more systemic approach.
